I have created this PowerPoint slideshow for year 3/4 students (view only as a slideshow) which can be used as a lesson plan although you may like to use it for two lessons. Students will use their prior knowledge from the previous year and learn new skills to help them collect, display and interpret data. To access the hyperlinks teachers will need to sign into the Learning Place. I have found it beneficial to download the videos to my computer so that I do not have to wait for the videos to download online. The PowerPoint has been based upon the C2C and can be changed if you so desire to suit your class. You can also edit the words and just keep the images if you would like to make a PowerPoint presentation for other lessons. In the PowerPoint students will be able to collect information and make their own digital graph which can then be printed out so they can paste it into their exercise books. The Graph Generator can be used by students to graph anything and can be used in conjunction with other data that is display on this site. On the next page there is another graph generator by Atomic Learning using Microsoft.
The following are links to the videos in the Data PowerPoint below in case you have problems with the embedded Learning Place links.
